I earned my Architectural Technologies (AT) diploma from SAIT in 2022. While earning my diploma, I excelled at using Twinmotion to create architectural visualization graphics.
When I'm writing a request for proposal (RFP) response, I need to read and understand construction drawings to get a complete understanding of a project. I use Revit at work to virtually mass proposed buildings and sketch proposed building systems to illustrate complex construction concepts to clients.
My Architectural Technologies fourth semester capstone focused on virtual design and construction (VDC) and virtual reality in the construction industry.
I partnered with a volunteer Geomatics Engineering Technology (GNT) student to get reality capture scans of an existing shell space. I used that information to create a highly accurate digital twin model. Different interior layouts were designed and presented to the client as options to renovate the shell space.
All five layouts were designed in Revit, and, through Trimble Connect and a Microsoft HoloLens, transformed into interactive virtual spaces.
