My editorial instincts help me craft winning RFP submissions to multi-million dollar projects. Some of these projects are under construction right now.
As a proposal coordinator:
I persuade. I use InDesign to craft comprehensive layouts and construct compelling arguments that resonate with clients.
I connect. I collaborate with roles ranging from construction site foreman to C-suite exec.
I translate. I take complex construction concepts and turn them into plain English to help clients understand our approach.
I love grappling with complicated software. My eyes light up when I see a new board game with a 50-page rulebooks.
As a tech enthusiast:
I build. I use Fusion360 to design functional objects that improve my home, and then bring them to life with my FDM 3D Printer.
I prototype. I built an automatic cat feeder with just a Raspberry Pi, PVC pipe, and the power of Google.
I play. When I need to indulge my interior design fantasies, I use Revit to update accurately-dimensioned rooms of my virtual house.
When a new craft calls, I answer. I love experimenting and discovering all the new ways my creative niches intersect.
As a creative:
I do it all. I've been a pixel artist, a resin enthusiast, a watercolourist. A few years ago, I drew a different bird every day for nearly 2 months. Right now I'm experimenting with needle felting.
I really (really) like miniatures. I build miniature dioramas of every shape and scale, from pre-assembled kits to tiny worlds built from scratch. I love crafting tiny worlds while dreaming big.
